New Adventure!!

So Amy has been talking about this a ton lately and yesterday I got on board! She actually kinda freaked out a little in her Amy way and couldn't believe I'd do it with her. But I'm totally stoked.....
Bikram Yoga!!
What is Bikram Yoga you ask? I highlighted all the key points for those of you who would rather skip over all the mumbo jumbo so to speak!
Living yoga master Bikram Choudhury is a Hot Yoga innovator. His method of Hot Yoga is a set series of 26 yoga poses, including two pranayama exercises(breathing exercises), each of which is performed twice in a single 90 minute class*. Choudhury, who was born in Calcutta, India in 1946, founded the Yoga College of India in Beverly Hills in 1974. He and his wife Rajashree were both yoga champions in India.
The recommended temperature is minimum

105F degrees and about 40% humidity.
The room is kept at this temperature or more for the following:
Keeping the body from overheating (contrary to popular misconception)
Protecting the muscles to allow for deeper stretching
Detoxing the body (open pores to let toxins out)
Thinning the blood to clear the circulatory system
Increasing heart rate for better cardiovascular workout
Improving strength by putting muscle tissue in optimal state for reorganization
Reorganize the lipids (fat) in the muscular structure

I may be Crazy, but I really am excited about this! Amy was telling me that for the first time they recommend that you go on an empty stomache and be very well hydrated. First timers can get nauscious and pass out... so this saturday Amy and I are waking up early and are going to experience this HOT 90 minute yoga class! It's going to be awesome!!

*Chello! 90 Minutes of Torture! I haven't worked out for 90 minutes in awhile, so this could be very interesting!

good ol work

So, I'm at work and of course I could be doing something else rather than blogging. But then that's just no fun. And besides, I was sitting here working and look up and Wyatt has stopped bouncing all over the place in his toy and he is just smiling at me. It amazes me how big he is getting! It is so much fun. I don't know where the time has gone. I'm so excited for Kate and Andrea to have their babies! How fun to have some little ones around again.

Things at work and in the office have been changing... you know when you can just sense things. And I'm not too happy about it. My good friend Audrey is practically the reason the office runs the way it does and when she didn't show up yesterday for work I had a small panic attack. Not to mention that Nick Morgan will probably be leaving soon too! I am happy to report that Audrey is at work today, and my suspicions were right, but she has decided to stay for now. The office is going to pot, it's like watching the Titanic sink. So hopefully the good ones will hold out a little longer! And hopefully I can as well.

My Life as a Lifetime Original Movie Star

And you all think I'm joking. Just think of one of those lifetime movies where the wife finds out that the husband is married to like 3 different women. That's pretty much how I feel. Thank goodness I was never the wife. And then add about 10 girlfriends in there or something. It's crazy. But I am grateful for the outcome of all this insanity. Wyatt is the best thing ever. I look at him and can't help from smiling! Although this isn't the most ideal situation, I wouldn't change it for the world. I absolutely just love being a mom...

there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I'm starting to get really excited. Everything is coming along at my place, FINALLY! It seems like this is taking a lifetime. The countertops were installed yesterday and they look SO nice! I absolutely love it. The pictures don't do it justice! So below is a picture of my kitchen, bathroom vanity, and the tile surround of the tub. It's all so great! Hopefully we can get everything wrapped up this weekend and during the week. It's going to be great!

New Year?

I can't even believe this year is gone. It feels like yesterday that 2007 had started. And what a year it was! Hopefully this new year will be just as exciting! I was thinking about doing a top ten list of 2007. But really I can only think about the arrival of Wyatt. Everything else seems to be a blur! I'm so excited for baby victoria and baby ike or ivy to be here.(i think it's going to be ivy...but who am i to say!)

I'm not really one for new years resolutions, but there are a few things that I would like to accomplish for this year.

1. Mommy and Wyatt bonding (obviously). We need our time to be a family before I introduce a man *crosses my fingers* into the picture. It would be nice if I found him this year! *wink wink nudge nudge HF*

2. Andrea was talking about how she wants to be tough and start running 5K's and 10K's... SO I think that I will join her. Maybe just the 5K's for now. I don't want to go too crazy or anything.

3. I want to be more organized at work. I am pretty OCD when it comes to some things, but I have found that my boss has rubbed off on me a bit. She just puts stuff wherever she feels the need and I've started the same thing. So i'm stopping that. It totally bugs me, so I need to stop!

4. I am going to make time for myself. Being a single mom I realize this is going to be tricky, so I'm lucky that I have a great family. My pediatrician always asks if I'm making time for myself, he seems to be worried about it. He was my pediatrician in the hospital so he knows ALL about us :) But I'm going to make it happen.

5. New Car. Hopefully I can make this work... my two door honda is just not cuttin it anymore. Wyatt is getting a little bigger, so shoving him in the back seat is getting a little tricky!

6. Sugar and Fast Food... I know this stuff makes me feel like crap, so why do I insist on stuffing my face with it? Ya, who knows. But it's going to stop. I will of course indulge myself every once in awhile, so no need to worry.

I'm sure there are more, but that will do for now. I hope everyone had a good year and has an even greater 2008.

Love you all!

the holidays

I'm actually pretty excited for it to be Christmas. I have needed a break from work and I am going to enjoy it as much as possible! I went and bought a few things for Wyatt. Even though I feel like he has no idea what is going on, I'd feel like a schmuck if I didn't.

Work on the house is coming along! There are a few things that Chad said he would still help me with. But i'm not holding my breathe. If he does, fabulous! He owes me anyway for being so nice to his dumb self. I have to give him credit though, he does make a beautiful baby! So below are a few pics of the cabinets. I need to take a picture of the bathroom. The tile surround on the tub is all in and the floor is done. All he needs to do now is grout it. But... he went hunting, so whatever Joe. He's a funny guy, but sometimes I wonder!

And now my baby is crying... So I better go see what I can do. Oh the joys of teething!
