missing in action

As some of you have noticed it has been quite a while since I have last updated. Life has been anything but boring.

In the end of November I started a second job as an Office Manager for a Doctor. He is just getting his practice going and so far it's worked out perfectly. I am able to work from home minus a few early morning meetings and an errand here and there. Kate has helped me tremendously with Wyatt taking him whenever she can so that I can run to a meeting or just get some work done at home. She has been my life saver!

The beginning of December was when my world was shaken up a bit. Something I knew deep down would eventually happen, did. My sweet aunt Robyn passed away on December 7th. I always thought of my family as invincible as silly as that sounds. I'm not sure if lucky is the word to use, but we all were fortunate enough to be with Robyn hours before she passed away. Just thinking of that morning makes me cry and a time I will ever forget. Robyn was Robyn and hard to put into words. She was one of those constants in life and it will not be the same without her.

This picture is of my Aunt Lisa showing Robyn a picture of herself (The first one above). She smiled and grabbed the picture and said "That's me". I think Robyn in the picture was around 16. It was such a sweet moment, at that point Robyn wasn't really talking.

And with the passing of Robyn I then braced myself for the passing of my Grandma which only happened a short 65 (give or take) days later. My Grandma passed away on February 10th. I never thought my Grandma would die. Call it wishful thinking. She was an amazing woman always smiling and laughing. I loved being in her presence and always felt so safe and happy. She was the calm during the storm and saying that I miss her is an understatement.

This is my Grandma and niece Victoria about 3 years ago.

So, that has been life these last few months. Busy, heartbreaking, a little stressful but still plugging along.

Wyatt is growing like a weed! He is so tall and handsome and such a patient kid. I drag him all over the place while we are working and he just goes with it. I can't wait to tell him that this fall we are going to DISNEYLAND! I probably won't tell him until the night before just to make my life a little bit easier. I haven't been since I was 4 and don't remember much, so it will be like a first time for both of us. I can't wait!
