job chart

I decided to make a job chart for Wyatt, he is old enough where he has jobs. Plus this makes it "fun" for him. My cute neighbor Heather pretty much provided everything for this project. Cricut machine and laminating machine. She's a lucky woman! Anyway.. I think it turned out pretty cute. Michaels only had one package of the Velcro dots I needed, so I will have to go search elsewhere to finish it.

He really enjoys helping with the dog. I have moved her food where he can get to it and showed him how to fill the water up. He constantly is checking to make sure she has food and water, it's pretty cute. When the day comes that fini is no longer at our house, I'll probably have to replace her. :)

Buddies

Wyatt has a best friend and they are the cutest. I probably should snap a few photos when they are over here playing. He talks about Cassius non stop (he gets included in prayers and night time stories) and from what I'm told Cassius talks about Wyatt non stop as well. Each morning almost before anything Wyatt asks me to text Cash's dad to see if they can play. One day I was helping Cash get his shoes on before he left to go home and I just had to chuckle inside a bit... I knew Wyatt had big feet, but I don't think I realized just how big they really are.

(Cash is about 7 months older than Wyatt)

When it is time for Cash to go home, we walk him outside and watch him walk to his building to make sure he gets up the stairs and home safely. Most of the time as he's walking away Wyatt will yell "Cash you forgot a hug" and they meet halfway to get their hugs in.

Where does time go? It becomes very real that you no longer have a little boy when they start having friends over to play and vise verse. Too bad there isn't a freeze button.

And I think I need to blog this so that I can look back and remember how sweet Wyatt is. However it may be hard to forget. The other day Wyatt and I were laying on my bed listening to calm music (the kind they play when you get a massage). We were doing a little "meditation" and I think it was a success. After a few minutes he decided he was done, as he was leaving the room he said "Mom, you make my heart happy".

I love this sweet boy.

My Dress...

In my mind I have been envisioning this perfect dress that I want for summer. Something that I can wear with cute boots or just with some sandals or flip flops. Pretty much down to the last detail I knew what I wanted this dress to look like. About 3 weeks ago I received a catalog, opened it up and *VOILA* there she was.

The hem line is uneven and cute, falls at a good place. Ah, love it!
This is part of my thinspiration and I will be rockin it this summer. Can't wait!

My funny boy...

Wyatt says the funniest things and I'm always scared one day I'll forget them. Tonight we went to dinner with my Mom, brother Peter, and two of Wy's cousins Charlotte and Victoria (Or Chartori as he calls them, as if they are one person). We got some adult food and then headed over to McDonalds so that the kids could run around like maniacs. As we were leaving my mom ended up with Wyatt's happy meal toy. I didn't think he noticed but a little later he asked where the toy was (of course he would notice) and when I told him Grandma had it and yada yada, his reply was "Oh well, that's too bad". He is quick to get over things most of the time, which is nice for me.

Wyatt also has picked up the "thumbs up" from somewhere, I don't recall ever giving him a thumbs up, but maybe I have. He often uses it when he is trying to down play a situation. Most often I get the "mom i'm in here probably doing something you've asked me not to do, but no worries, all is well" thumbs up. I can't help from laughing, it cracks me up.

My favorite conversation of the day with Wyatt...

Me: "You're the best Wy"
Wy: "Oh mom, you're so cute"

I love that he hasn't grown out of cuddling, hugs and kisses just yet. And he may talk about butts, farts and poop 89% of the time, but he sure is so sweet.

Water Aerobics

I have recently discovered a new love. And yes, I'm being very serious. I know the first thing people think about when they hear water aerobics. I was the same way. But, in the past few months I have come to realize how awesome this class is. With the right teacher you can and will get a killer workout. I remember my first class, it was a bit awkward but so worth it. You don't realize what kind of a work out you are getting until you try and walk up the stairs out of the pool after class. It is the perfect way to tone up and slim down. (I'm down 18 inches, it works.) So, stop laughing, grab a friend, suit up and ask around for a good teacher. Plus, it's a good break from your normal work out routine. Do it.

Blog Pressure

So, I am coming to the realization that my blog may be a little on the lame side. I hardly update and never feel like I have much to say. Recently my boss Jenn Gray started a blog. You can find it here... She has fun useful tips, give-a-ways (her recent one is awesome, this face stuff is amazing), and just cute things. She probably has wondered why I haven't given her my blog address yet. But it's because I feel pressure to make it a cool blog! I guess I'll have to make a list of cool things to blog about, that way I won't be super lame.

On a lame note... okay that's a joke, Wyatt is anything but lame.

He is 3 1/2 now, and I know that I will blink my eyes and July will already be here. I'm praying that he doesn't ask for a Jungle Jim's birthday party. Everyone keep your fingers crossed! And this year I plan to be a little more prepared. Last year I forgot a camera, matches, serving spoons and obviously my brain.

Wyatt is such a smart kid and getting so big. He loves to play with his buddy Cassius, today when Cash left they gave each other hugs. I'm glad they are good buddies. Lately he is working on the sounds of the alphabet, so all day long I get quizzed. "What does the letter "F" say" and so on. He is OBSESSED with geo track trains. And I think obsessed may be an understatement. His train set takes up pretty much his whole bedroom. It's insane. He also has a few Geo Track movies, so he knows all the conductor and train names.

He is such a great boy and is the best thing in my life.
