Tonight Wyatt and I went to the park for a little picnic, which I basically had a picnic by myself. Wyatt found himself a cute friend and they ran around together for about 45 minutes. The other mother and I joked around because her daughter bossed Wy around the whole time and he just let her. I assume that's from being around his 4 girl cousins all the time.
Anyway, while we were there these three kids show up. Two boys I would say like 13 and 10? And then a sister who was somewhere in the middle of them. All of them were riding around on their scooters, the oldest boy wearing a black ski mask type thing (creepy) and the youngest was wearing a cape. All of them looking pretty scroungy and their clothes all dirty. But this youngest boy had quite the chip on his shoulder. Wyatt was playing around and the kid rode by and goes "don't piss me off". I was so confused, part of me wanted to get up, grab him and ask what the hell his problem was and then I decided that probably wasn't a good idea. There was another kid there running around the play ground for "exercise" (yes he really said that, he looked 7ish) and the cranky young kid thought he was chasing him. Cranky stopped his scooter right in front of me and looked like he was about to start throwing punches. I started laughing and he turned around and glared at me! I mean really? So I just said really nicely that the other kid wasn't chasing him around and he's just running for fun. So what was his reply? "Oh I thought he was trying to piss me off". Really? At this point I just felt bad. I'm sure he hears this at home all the time. Not once did he even crack a smile.
I love people watching... Sometimes you have to wonder where these people come from.

lazy blogger of the year? i think so...
We're here and somewhat alive. Which that is something to be grateful for, right? Although in my mind it doesn't really seem like I have a lot to blog about.
Wyatt is getting so big, it's just crazy to me. A few days ago I looked at him and to me he looked like he was 5ft tall. He is wacky and crazy and I adore him. We had a rough go at things for awhile together, and mainly I think it's because we were together NON STOP. Thankfully with the nicer weather, Wyatt's change in attitude toward to gym day care, and me allowing my family to help out a little more, we are making it!
And work is crazy busy, which I am really grateful for. I'm glad I have an awesome boss who takes care of me and is extremely good at what she does. Makes things nice.
Hopefully I can keep this thing more current... with any luck something new will come into our lives for me to blog about!

good grief
Wyatt had the start of a great day. He tried on some awesome shades at old navy and was able to play with his cousins and ride bikes at the park. Then he gets home with mom and BAM... next thing you know I'm bleaching all the toys that were in the tub with him (maybe eventually he'll decide the toilet is a better place for such occasions) and cleaning up the carton of eggs that are broken all over my kitchen floor. Am I doing something wrong here? Will he grow out of this? He's lucky he's so dang cute and I love him or I might be passing him off to the neighbors and throwing in the dog as a consolation prize.
Pamper yourself...
I want to let my best friend know that I am so proud of her. She is a master aesthetician and is starting to do her own thing. She is awesome at what she does and you all should check her out.

running just as fast as we can
Here we go again.... see here. Another run and I'm starting to think I'm a little insane. I don't know if this is quite as intense as the Ragnar relay's, but I will soon find out. And at least I don't have to be far from home! Now if my leg will get better and cooperate with me, that would be fantastic.
I never feel like I have a lot to blog about or just feel like no one wants to read about our lives day in and day out because honestly nothing really changes. Although, some days Wyatt isn't so crazy. I wish I had the energy that he does, he rarely stops going. In a few short months he will be 3 and I can't believe how fast this time has gone by. I'm so grateful for him in my life, he brings a lot of purpose and happiness to me. He loves our family and is constantly talking about them and can't contain his excitement in seeing them. Lately he talks about Peter a lot, we miss him a ton. Stinkin Colorado.
And this is what happens when he plays with Charlotte.
They have a lot of fun together (98% of the time). This evening Charlotte was trying to teach Wyatt how to play hide-n-seek and kept getting upset because he didn't quite catch on to the game. A few times he came downstairs and when he went back up Charlotte would scream "I found you!" and then they would continue on.

We have a good family and I'm grateful that Wyatt has such great cousins to grow up with. And if you all can put good vibes out there for my leg... that would be much appreciated! :)

Wyatt and Ivy are good buddies and together become quite the handful.

Ragnar Del Sol 2010
Well we did it! We had such a great time together and a great team! I am so glad that I did this and would do it again in a heart beat. Northwest Passage anyone? Our race was changed a bit due to an accident, but we were able to finish two of our runs. My heart goes out to the family who lost their son and brother. The 18 year old runner was hit by a car on the highway while getting his teammate water and passed away today. I can't imagine what that would be like, but I am grateful that our team was safe. It was a sad night.
This was also the first time that I have left Wyatt. I just bawled the morning that we left and he kept staring at me like what is your dang problem lady. I missed him a bunch.
Here are a few pictures from our adventure in Arizona. Thanks again team for such a great time and for your support. Dang my gimpy leg!
My awesome sisters were a huge support. Love them! This is on my night run, I really enjoyed it.

Big eyes... again. I think Keith started it. This is after we're all done in Vegas at Keith and Ali's. They were so great to let us stay the night. Us Gibbs girls wouldn't shut up! (Sorry)

Here's our van again. We had such a blast and never really stopped laughing.
Carol, Andrea, Kate, Me, Keith and Keri.

We were all supposed to do big eyes... but I was struggling with it.
Me, Andrea and Carol.
Again, what a great experience! We missed Amy and Peter and thought it would be so great to have them around. Maybe we can bully Amy into the next one. She doesn't believe we really had fun! I'm grateful that I have a relationship with my siblings, I think it's a special thing to have and they are such a huge support in my life. And this running thing may not be such a bad thing after all...
