Some people.
I don't think I am too judgmental of a person. I too have my days where I shamelessly run errands not looking 100%. And I'm sure people think too themselves "She wouldn't be half bad if she put on something other than sweats". But sometimes that's just the way I roll.
Tonight I went to get a rice bowl for Wyatt. He has been WAY picky lately and he has always seemed to like them. And I was right, he practically ate the whole thing. Which is improvement as far as meals go. Moving on... I walked in to the restaurant and a woman was standing there sorta dancing to the music and looking at the daily specials on the board. She was pretty plain and low and behold in sweats, no biggie right. She proceeds to tell me that she is waiting for her daughter and to go ahead in front of her. I walk up to get in line and immediately am bombarded by these two scraggly kids ( I say kids but they were probably like 14 and 16ish). The boy is absolutely thrilled with Wyatt and they both are telling me how cute he is, asking how old he is and trying to get him to say hi. They were completely in my bubble which made me a little nervous. Now with them being so close in proximity I noticed that they were kinda dirty and their hair was REALLY greasy. And then all of a sudden I was surrounded by this family, all five of them. The woman dancing was their mother, the "daughter" she was waiting for was 20 months old and was brought in by another scraggly son who sported some sort of mullet/rat tail combo. Who waits for a toddler? It was just all really weird. The little girl was the dirtiest. I don't know that anyone had washed her face off in awhile and her hair was pretty ratty. The oldest son was telling me how she had this beautiful curly hair and "in fact it is so curly you can hardly comb through it"(obviously) and at this point he was way beyond my bubble and seemed to be completely thrilled to be having a conversation with me about Wyatt and his little sister.
Needless to say even though the mother told me to go ahead because she was waiting on her toddler to get out of the car, they still ended up in front of me. Which is fine really, I didn't mind. And the funniest thing is the mother pulls out this nice new blackberry phone and then they all go out and get in their brand new van. I guess even if the family had showered in the last 72 hours and sported the latest fashions it still would have been odd. I was completely surrounded and my bubble was compromised!
I find some people interesting, and I'm sure some have said the same about me!

Grateful
Wyatt seems to be growing to fast. I see little babies and wonder where the last year and a half has gone.
Here is a list of the things Wyatt does that I love.
1. Signs milk, more, eat, doggy.
2. Climbs up and now down stairs.
3. Dances to ANY music he hears.
4. Throws anything and everything in the tub, and now even the dryer.
5. He loves to play "hide n seek"
6. He has a love for cats; which is not from me; too bad they don't love him back! He's faced a few swats and scratches, but he's tough.
7. He can now open doors if they have the right kind of handle. (Not sure I love this one just yet)
8. Plays with his cousin Charlotte, they are complete maniacs together.
9. Always has to give my friends husband hugs. His face lights up when he comes in the room. (Thanks Shaun for being so awesome!)
10. Pretends to talk on the phone.
11. When he fake cries he makes a face like Popeye.
12. He has to run everywhere, walking is for sissy's.
13. Laughs at himself in the mirror.
14. The second I start taking off his clothes he struggles to get away and makes a break for the bathroom. He can't get enough of tub time.
15. He makes me smile.
I have the best little buddy ever. I am so grateful that he is in my life. He has changed me in more ways that I can even begin to explain. As hard as some days get, I would not change anything. There are people that would love to have what I have and I need to remember to be grateful for every tantrum, tear and everything he throws my way... literally!
I love you Wyatt S!

New Love
This past week I bought Wyatt some letters to play with in the tub, hoping to distract himself with things such as... himself. And he LOVES them! So much so that he just can't wait to get in the tub to play with them. I caught this silly one trying to get into the tub one day to play with them. I tried to distract him with other toys, but finally gave in and just stuck him in the tub. He loves it. And yes, he is wearing one shoe and one slipper, it's just how we do!
