"cool buns mom" followed by a patting of my buns.
that's right, wyatt thinks my buns are pretty cool. he probably wouldn't think that if he saw someone else's bare buns. but i'll take any compliment i can get!

Bedtime with wyatt is my own personal hell. I dread it every night. It is 11:09 and the bedtime attempt started 2 hours ago with the help of my cousin who was here watching Glee. When we first started having this nightly struggle, my cousin suggested these....
... which worked like a charm until about two weeks ago when he figured out how to rip them off. My friend Audrey suggested getting a lock for the door, so I'm going to switch his door knob around so that I can lock it from my side. (Side note to any concerned reader: I would always open his door before I went to bed and intend on doing the same thing in this case.) Somehow magically Wyatt can get through any locked door in our house so I'm a tad bit concerned that he will do the same. But I will attempt it anyway! Heaven help me... He's up again... *tears*
*UPDATE* 11:40 and I think we're in the clear... Understand the personal hell stuff now?

I've been horrible at blogging and decided to do a quick little update...
Wyatt turned 2 in July and we had a fun weekend in Glenwood with our family. Lots of four wheeling, games, a pool party, water fight, gifts and of course some cake.

I thought that I would make it out of the so called "terrible two's" and that W would be a perfect little angel. And boy was I wrong, this kid has some attitude. After three time outs and being slapped across the face and having my hair pulled in the check out line at Walmart, I have come to accept these next few months and I will do it with a smile on my face and a scratch on my cheek. He's too adorable and I just love everything about him, temper tantrum and all.
