bottomless pit

wyatt can not get enough food in him today and i can not get it to him fast enough! i guess that's an okay thing since he is a growing boy! he is now in a size 6 diaper and size 7 shoe. what 20 month old is in a size 6? i know people that have or have tried to potty train this young and i don't know how they do it. wyatt pee's so much at night, i would constantly be cleaning sheets and changing his bed! the thought is nice, i'd just like to know how it can actually be achieved.

wyatt is making some big changes in his little life. he no longer has a bottle at naptime or at bedtime. he gets a small one before bed but he has to drink it on the couch. and he's doing really well. i was so affraid we would have meltdowns and tantrums, but so far so good. kristen was even able to get him to take a nap in a big boy bed when she watched him. crazy! i've been thinking about converting his crib but think i will wait until he's actually 2. it's fun in the morning listening to him yell at me to get him out. in the morning it sounds like he's saying mum instead of just mom, it's really cute.

he also has added a few things to his vocabulary and sign language. He says no more, la la (ella), ball, car, uck (which is either truck or look, he's usually pointing when he says it, sometimes at trucks and sometimes at random things), who is that (which he's said before) and mmmmnono(banana). and of course words that I can not yet translate. It's fun listening to him though! he also has a few new signs. giraffe, banana, cheese, cookie, grandma and mom.

he really is such a good kid i'm lucky. we are still working on the hitting but i am happy to say that his head butting is pretty much done with. he has a hard head and i was always the victim! just last night i checked on him before i headed to bed and just thought how crazy it is that i'm a mom. you would think after almost 2 years it would settle in, but sometimes it just blows my mind. i'm so grateful that i have wyatt and i wouldn't change anything! well maybe the lack of money.

  1. He wears a 7? Whoa. I didn't realize that. Wyatt is so smart and funny.

I'd stick with the crib for as long as possible. That's my advice. I wish Charlotte was still in a crib. Instead she's in my bed, which sucks rocks.

  4. Why can't you get your child to act as grown up as I can? :o) He was just so happy I didn't lock him in a closet or something. He is so much fun to be around. Wyatt has a smile that can light up a room

  5. Ash, you should totally try converting his bed. It's totally worth it. We're working on the bottle thing and it's some how not going so hot. I guess one step at a time...right!!

  6. We have some signing videos that he learned from, but the rest I taught him. We're working on the alphabet right now and he's got a down!
