my boy

My little punkin buns will be 3 years old in 2 short weeks. He is so fun and so full of energy and personality. And he can be the sweetest little guy. Every day I will either hear "mom you're so cute" or "cute hair mom". It cracks me up. He loves his cousins and talks about them constantly. Lately he loves "going for a swim" and going on morning walks. He can't get enough of Scooby Doo and sings the theme song constantly. And for anyone that watches Glee, he sings the mash up of "Don't stand so close to me" a million times a day. The best is when we are grocery shopping at he sings it at the top of his lungs.

Recently we were talking about his uncles "Court is mine nuncle, Peter is mine nuncle, Steve is mine nuncle" then it shifted and he said "Amy is...." and I said "Amy is your aunt". At this moment his eyes got huge, he had a confused expression on his face and he said "Amy's a bug?". I just laughed and wasn't quite sure how to carry on the conversation from there. No Mr Wy, Amy is not a bug.

Wyatt is such a special part of my life. I am privileged to be his mom and watch him grow. He has taught me more about myself, love, and life than I could have ever expected. I hope that I can do the same for him. Love you handsome.

Where is your mother?

Tonight Wyatt and I went to the park for a little picnic, which I basically had a picnic by myself. Wyatt found himself a cute friend and they ran around together for about 45 minutes. The other mother and I joked around because her daughter bossed Wy around the whole time and he just let her. I assume that's from being around his 4 girl cousins all the time.

Anyway, while we were there these three kids show up. Two boys I would say like 13 and 10? And then a sister who was somewhere in the middle of them. All of them were riding around on their scooters, the oldest boy wearing a black ski mask type thing (creepy) and the youngest was wearing a cape. All of them looking pretty scroungy and their clothes all dirty. But this youngest boy had quite the chip on his shoulder. Wyatt was playing around and the kid rode by and goes "don't piss me off". I was so confused, part of me wanted to get up, grab him and ask what the hell his problem was and then I decided that probably wasn't a good idea. There was another kid there running around the play ground for "exercise" (yes he really said that, he looked 7ish) and the cranky young kid thought he was chasing him. Cranky stopped his scooter right in front of me and looked like he was about to start throwing punches. I started laughing and he turned around and glared at me! I mean really? So I just said really nicely that the other kid wasn't chasing him around and he's just running for fun. So what was his reply? "Oh I thought he was trying to piss me off". Really? At this point I just felt bad. I'm sure he hears this at home all the time. Not once did he even crack a smile.

I love people watching... Sometimes you have to wonder where these people come from.

lazy blogger of the year? i think so...

We're here and somewhat alive. Which that is something to be grateful for, right? Although in my mind it doesn't really seem like I have a lot to blog about.

Wyatt is getting so big, it's just crazy to me. A few days ago I looked at him and to me he looked like he was 5ft tall. He is wacky and crazy and I adore him. We had a rough go at things for awhile together, and mainly I think it's because we were together NON STOP. Thankfully with the nicer weather, Wyatt's change in attitude toward to gym day care, and me allowing my family to help out a little more, we are making it!

And work is crazy busy, which I am really grateful for. I'm glad I have an awesome boss who takes care of me and is extremely good at what she does. Makes things nice.

Hopefully I can keep this thing more current... with any luck something new will come into our lives for me to blog about!
